The most beautiful trip ever                                                                       4.5.2010

At the 23rd-25th April 2010 our English E+ course went to London with Mrs Nickels-Oster, Mrs Rieseberg some parents and other students of year 7.

We met in front of EBGS about 5:30 am and I think everybody was still tried. Our trip started 15 minutes later so we had time to take some group photos.

At 5:45 o'clock the coach-driver packed our suitcases into his coach and we could get in.

Then we started our trip.

The coach-driver drove us through the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

And everybody had fun on the coach. Either we talked to each other, listened to music, watched the scenery or teased Mrs Nickels-Oster by talking too loudly or by standing up in the coach.

At Calais we changed onto a ferry. The ferry brought us from Calais to Dover. This way takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes I think. On board were restaurants, shops and things like that.

But at the top of the ferry was the most beautiful place. There was the open deck. From there we had a very nice view across the Channel and the coast of Calais and later Dover.

After 1 hour and 15 minutes the ferry arrived in Dover.

From there we changed again to coach and went on till Canterbury.

In Canterbury was our first break. We could visit shops, bought something to eat or clothes or explored Canterbury. Canterbury is a nice town but everybody wanted to see LONDON.

So two hours later the coach took us from Canterbury to London.

In the meantime some few of us had fun with Mrs Nickels-Oster again.

When we arrived in London the coach-driver drove our group through London and showed us some sights and on our way to St. James's Park we picked up Mr Schwitte who was quasi our guide.

At St. James' Park we stopped and went on by foot. Mr Schwitte narrated our group something about London and the sights that we saw at the way.

Our next break we had at Piccadilly Circus for about 1 hour I think.

Afterwards we walked on to Chinatown, Leichester Square and to Trafalgar Square.

In the evening we took the train to get to our hotel.

We arrived there about 11 o'clock pm.

Then we had to sleep.

On the next day we got up at about 7 o'clock to have a nice breakfast.

After breakfast Mrs Nickels-Oster told us to meet us in front of our hotel to go to the Natural History Museum.

So we got ready.

Judith, Kathrin ,Elena ,Klara, Sophie and I decided to go down with the lift.

But we had some problems with the lift and we were late.

Mrs Nickels-Oster was a bit angry and groused with us.

We had to take the train and the underground again in order to got to the museum.

In the Natural History Museum we should go in groups and we had 1 hour break like the day before.

Next we had to decide if we wanted to go to the Hard Rock Cafe or to Buckingham Palace.

Most of our group went to Hard Rock Cafe.

The rest and I walked to Buckingham Palace. We couldn't go inside so we took photos from outside.

Our programm continued with a boat tour along the River Thames.

On the boat a member on the crew explained us about the sights that we saw on the tour.

At Tower Bridge the tour finished. There our next break came. We could buy fish n' chips or we could just relax.

And after this break we went to Mme Tussauds. For this moment everybody had waited. We had nearly 2 hour time to looked around.

We saw wax figures like:

The Royal Family

Michael Jackson

Barack Obama

even Hitler.

The next attraction after Mme Tussaud’s was the London Eye.

Fisrt we watched a film in 4D about the London Eye and then we went in groups onto the Eye.

At the top of the London Eye were the most beautiful view!

We saw everything so clearly and it was so real. This was very amazing.

In the evening we arrived at Dicken's Inn, a restaurant.

Nearly everybody ate pizza and had a lot of fun.

We arrived at our hotel again about 11:30 o'clock pm

The next morning we had breakfast and then we had to pack our suitcases and bags for the departure back to Dinslaken.

But this time we made a break in Hastings. Hastings is a nice place at the Channel. We watched the sea for a long time and relaxed again.

After this time nearly everything was the same.

The coach-driver drove us through England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands; we teased our teachers and had so much fun.

But later some of us were stressed, especially our teachers, and tired.

We arrived nearly at midnight in Dinslaken from where our parents took us home.

This was the end of the most beautiful trip I had ever joined.
